On a sunny Saturday
With the temperature at a record-breaking high this quarter, I went out to enjoy the auras of the sun and walk up and down the avenues of downtown. It took some time until Spring’s gentle warmth replaced the cruel and wet Winter months.
In this changing atmosphere I decided to make a few purchases in light of this new season.
I purchased a pair of second-hand shorts which had been sewn together in Vietnam. I need more clothes for sunny weather.
My second purchase was found in a book store filled with shelves of meticulously cataloged sections. Near Eastern Philosophy I found The Holy Qur’an, rendered into English by some unknown Middle Eastern authors and published in South Korea.
Its pages lined with the Arabic and English passages side by a side, a testament to the harmony of two worlds bound by one fate.
