I like the scene, a classic bit of a boy’s adventure tale, like something out of Huckleberry Finn. The underwear cleaning line was especially funny.
Some minor grammar stuff to clean up, like a missing ‘he’ before ‘backed up’ and you could probably do without one or both commas around Red.
