This is a trifle confusing.
I can’t tell what child belongs to what mom. Or which mother lost her daughter.

yeah, i kind of threw that at you.. The son was adopted by Mrs. Dever.. but he went secretly in search of his biological mother. When he disappeared, his biological mother called Mrs. Dever..
