Unfortunately for a lot of people now alive in western societies, the art of raising a child is being lost. Many, many people just don’t want to truly take responsibility, or even worse don’t understand that somebody needs to take responsibility or actually fight_against_ somebody taking responsibility for raising a child!

Of course, this might just be the gripe of every generation.

@DoItForScience I think it stems from not understanding the basic fact that the child is a different person with different goals, views, etc, not an extension of the parent’s will. It’s really hard to grasp for some people, even former “rebel youths”. Peculiar, but true.
