’Siami’s place’ bothers me. I’m not sure why but perhaps the use of the modern almost slang term ‘place’ in such an olde worlde setting.

You perfectly convey Baraam’s angst and fear, etc.
Makes sense that Miri would say one of two things:
One, Siami has allied with Satan and must be killed, or
Two, Siami is a gifted seer and should join whatever Miri is part of.
