Wow, you wove the quote in beautifully into the story . The imagery was wonderful as well. The only jarring note for me was the “psychedelic banana” image. It seemed out of place with the serious tone of the piece.

I’m largely in agreement with msdasilva and THX 0447 here. Superbly moody and dark piece, weaving real evil into the sleepyquotation. Not sure about the banana.
