Chill, PJ. Most of the people who read stories don’t comment. You know that. Who are you writing for? If for yourself, then what does it matter if or what anyone comments.
Judging from your tag, it might be that there is something personal and real going on in this story. I don’t know and don’t want to know who this person is that you’ve referred to. I would ask you to consider whether you’re using this space to write or vent.
Another observation that I’ll put forward is that I myself haven’t had a comment on anything in over two weeks. It’s summer. With any luck, people are out and about enjoying the gasp real world. Let’s assume that that’s the reason, and get out there and manufacture some vitamin D.
O.K P.J. I thought you had a bad day shopping. Didn’t think it was worth commenting on although I silently commiserated with you. Did not feel it was worth a rating as most of your work is so good and yes this was……
It’s never too late to make amends for being another bail out viewer. In my defense I did sequel. So at least I can sleep at night now that I got that off my chest.
and in regards to those two sentences that inspired me to sequel, the exact reason why I like this is its open ended nature coupled with an ending sentence that could have multiple interpretations. The possibilities were endless.
The funny thing is that I wrote a story, published it, then wrote over it with that sentence. It seems to actually make more sense in this format though…
It has its down sides, like being a rat, namely. Whiskers are way more itchy than helpful, and I get degraded on a daily basis by these giant nerds in white coats, just because their brains are twelve times my body weight. jerks. And another thing… J/k PJ.
