um…the ‘knife’ tag confuses me. why would someone bludgeon a person if they had a knife? is it a forshadowing? seems like a bad use of the Chekhov’s gun trope.

FYI…carriage returns are considered characters…but… Ficly shortens stories by removing carriage returns at the end of a story unless there is another character after the carrage returns. So a period followed by 58 carriage returns and then another period would be acceptable to ficly’s rules.
