Boatload
This was in fact a turning point for me
My selfish self has gone as it had came
My life is changed and will forever be
Never again will I remain the same.
I thought I was less fortunate than you
For now I wake up to remember pain
The water is a symbol of the new
And soon I shall feel nothing but the rain.
The horrors haunt my head like cackling haints
But blesséd be those who have passed away
The men who saved your life that day were saints
Without you dear, I could not live a day.
I’m scared to lose you now that you don’t know
I’ll say I love you now, before I go.
