Seems like good ole 1930s pulp science fiction to me. I don’t think copyright issues are a problem. Well. except perhaps for the thinly veiled references to light sabers and jedi knights. ;-)
I’ve always thought that the prevalence of blaster weapons in Star Wars was because Jedi would find it too easy to turn aside physical projectiles, such as an Inferno round from an Adeptus Astartes bolter (rather like Magneto stopping bullets in the X-Men movie).
Interesting, so you think that because bullets are actual solid projectiles that the force users would be more capable of manipulating them? That’s a fair argument.
I recognize the setting but I won’t say anything if you won’t. In fact I just started reading my first novel of the universe. That being said, I’d like a more in depth look at the protagonist(s). Perhaps in a sequel?
I’d like someone to do a POV prequel or sequel from the perspective of the antagonists. How would a proud member of that order react to being assaulted by fanatical supersoldiers?
