wow, nice, a very sci-fi sort of take, but I love it because I was thinking of writing something where a life form never detected before is able to connect to a host body at its exact time of death, before the organs fail, to revive the body and use it for whatever means it needs it. The person is miraculously revived and is never quite the same in their behaviors…

That was actually kind of the visual I had while writing it, actually. I kept asking myself where the body came from that the seed invaded, and the image I had in my mind was of a fully formed adult body that may have once been occupied and was now lying inert somewhere (perhaps in cryo). An empty vessel for a soul seeking a form.
