Decision
Tae looked down at the rack of weapons before her. She knew the door to the room wouldn’t hold the zombies much longer, but she couldn’t make a snap decision. She’d seen the consequences of that before.
They weren’t pretty.
She glanced back at the door and knew she was pushing her luck. She bit her lower lip, her hand hovering over the shotgun for a moment. Then she changed her mind and picked up the dagger, clipping the sheath to her belt and looking for a secondary weapon. Her eyes settled on the Shaolin spade(she’d gotten it from her uncle, who collected old war weapons) and she hesitated a moment before picking it up. Then she put it back down and instead decided on the trench spikes(also from her uncle). She just needed one more, but it had to be a longer range weapon. She picked up her .22 rimfire confidently, checked that it was loaded, and pocketed a few dozen bullets for later.
She went out the window and to the roof, taking a position where she could easily pick the zombies off.
Bring it on.
