God of the Petri Dish

I could be considered a God to the inhabitants of a petri dish.

My ways of creation are to them unknown. My method of existence and of manipulating their universe would be completely beyond their comprehension.

Perhaps the only thing that sets humanity apart from the bacterial inhabitants of said microcosm is the overwhelming arrogance that we believe there is nothing beyond our eventual comprehension.

Will our arrogance be vindicated or will we be disappointed?
