paths are often used
to describe choices
so they will be here

a girl took a path
with a promising light
at the end
so she walked down it
without a backward glance

but alas
what a long path it was
full of waiting
and scenery that was much to dull
and it seemed as she went on
the glorious light
faded.

soon she asked the truth
and so it was
that the light was not for her to find

a new path formed that very day
but now she faced dilemma
old versus new
it was hard to leave a fimilar path
and start on one so unfamiliar
but she was tired of followig something
that wasn’t meant to be
but still she lingered
until she finally decided
and desended down a new path
and where it shall bring her
we shall find out
won’t we?
