Hunter: Ash-ful Beginnings
Amy, still staring, hissed at Mack. Mack lifted an eyebrow, raised his left top lip slightly, and let loose a rumble that I was sure shook the floor. My gaze flip-flopped between them, waiting for an explosion, when, surely enough, BABOOM! The girl, who had gotten up and was very angry, angrier than Amy was currently, had started stalking over to Mack when he frowned and said something in another language. She exploded. I was covered in ash and soot, as was the rest of the kitchen. Mack had escaped the explosion somehow, like he had a shield— no soot was near him. Amy wasn’t so lucky. SHe spit out a mouthful of soot and glared at Mack.
At this point, I was a bit freaked. A girl had just exploded and no one seemed to care. And, in addition, those two seemed like they were at each others’ throats. Tim entered, saw the soot all over the place, and complained. “MAAAAACK!!” “Oh shit. I thought Jason locked you up!” “Nooo, and you EXPLODED Taylia! WHHHHYYYYYY?!” He shrieked. I took advantage of this distraction.
