December 1919

This Christmas I spend with my family as I had always done every other year. This year though is different. There is sadness in my house. I scream to my parents and siblings that I am here but to no avail. They cannot hear nor notice me anymore. Yet I know that they long to see and hear me one last time.

My name is Millie I was only 24 years old when my life was extinguished so abruptly. Never did I believe my life would end so quickly.

One Afternoon sometime in September 1919

My mother sent me to buy some more candles as we were running low. I had not been well for at least a month prior. I just shrugged it off as a being bad cold. I never did like to cause a fuss. My nonchalance attitude towards my wellbeing would end up costing me dearly.
