I like :) The only thing I’m not sure about is “said cement” because you don’t previously mention cement or cementing or anything similar. Otherwise, it’s brilliant.

I guess I hope to convey an image of words being etched into wet cement and then drying, solidifying there, becoming a sturdy sentiment. :P then again who knows? Not I, exactly.
