Fun little bit of D&D style intrigue, with a bit of whimsy and silliness thrown in for fun. I have no idea what the challenge was, but it made for a fun read.

The chellenge was to be influenced by Tolkien without writing into Middle Earth.

Since LOTR inspired much of the Fantasy Role Playing Genre, it seemed a good place to go.
