This somewhat remined me of the Shindig episode of Firefly, where Malcom Reynolds gets into a similar sword duel. I think you did a wonderful job capturing the action and keeping it interesting. This has a lot of potential for side stories…such as who gave him the sword and why

Since I wrote it, I’ve been wondering what the duke did, exactly, to goad him into the duel. :-)
