Spooky idea and nicely told from a first person perspective to give a sense of immediacy to your imagined scenario.

Very cool concept. Someone’s been working on a collection. :)

I really enjoyed this story, both in its telling and its concept. Well done.

One small thing though, the last line seems a slight bit awkward as if it is over explaining. Perhaps…

After a short time, a graceful white swan joined the frozen menagerie.

…would work a bit better.

I think it could go either way. You KNOW there’d be some folk going ‘Hey, where’d that swan come from?’

Also, I wanted to re-inforce that this swan was still Anati (and remain within the character limit :D )… That she was still herself and still aware after her transformation and incarceration.

One other ’director’s cut’ revelation: ‘Anati’ isn’t just a pretty name. ;)
