Not really sure if I’m totally happy with it, or if it’s in the direction we all want it to go, but I am more than willing to revise later if necessary.
Bizarre continuation that takes on a slightly more menacing feel than the first. It works though, even as a bit of a departure, using the first as a set-up for a sudden drop in the pit of the stomach as the story turns. Great job throwing on a sequel.
Yup, I think it’s a worthy sequel. I felt like the ending was a little anti-climactic. It would have been more interesting to me if the Secret remained a mystery to the MC, allowing for more interesting plot-building opportunities. But that’s just my opinion. :)
Blimey, not what I expected. Contrasts with mine quite well, although I do think that Jim has it that the Secret could have been left just a little bit longer, to build some more suspense.
Good. Really, I was thinking the exact same thing with the ending, but none of the other endings I wrote seemed to finish it. I’ll change it.
The only justification I made for the original ending (him knowing the Secret) is that well-known people store their secrets in the lower levels, and this could be some politician or something. But I still like ambiguity better.
