Awesome. I loved the line about the drunk, flying hippo. That really made me giggle. I also like how the feel suggests WWII but doesn’t lock it into that time frame necessarily.

I loved the mouthful of bile reminding him how much he likes flying. That sort of subtle writing and character building is my favorite.
