Interesting interpretation! I like the idea and I like how the direction of your inspiration. The dialogue reminds me of Star Wars (I and IV respectively). I don’t know why but both uses of the word ‘out’ feel unnecessary. That could just be my opinion though.

Ooh, I like it, and not just cause you took a slanted, creative twist on the prompt. Great bit of action all heavy with significance and drama and all that. Classic knights and maidens sort of tale, especially the grim determination of the knight at the end.
