I feel your pain. It’s almost painful how quickly the inspiration left me. I’ve always been inspired. *sigh,,

Perhaps a little less powerful than PJ’s original, but maybe that’s a matter of this being a response rather than the first thought.

Still, some of the lines have beautiful imagery, and the last few lines are nicely ambiguous. I particularly like the fact that there’s hope yet – ice melts! MH :)
