Very cutely told story of the end of a romance. I think it was the interjected French. The last line was awesome as well, really added insult to injury for the protagonist.
Did you mean to repeat the line about packing up the golightlys and all that?
Light but literary. Almost poetry when you repeat the golightly’s phrase. The repetition of that phrase makes this a strong piece of good writing. I’m so drawn to that word (golightlys) because I’ve never heard it before but I perfectly understand what you mean by it. Maybe it’s a chiefly british expression and that’s why I’ve never heard it, but still, I likey :)
