Much Too Cheerful For Her Tastes
Cassandra’s mouth twitched and she gingerly shook the offered appendage. “Cassandra.” She wiped her hand on her skirt.
“You go to the university, then?”
“Why else would I be in the Science Building at this ungodly hour?” Cassandra blew her bangs out her face, thoroughly exasperated. This Steven boy was much too cheerful for her tastes.
Steven grinned again, a wide Cheshire Cat grin that nearly split his face in two. “I know what you mean. I’m not usually up this early, but I signed up for that new Tai Chi class on the roof.”
Of course you did, thought Cassandra. That’s perfectly normal. Even her inner voice was smothered in sarcasm this morning.
“Where are you headed to?”
“Organic Chem.”
“At seven in the morning?”
“I’m a morning person.” Cassandra lied.
Steven laughed again and then looked at her with one eyebrow raised. “Oh yeah?"
