That was great and didn’t go where I thought it was headed. At first it just seems like some poor guy in over his head, and then such a nice twist to it. Brains over brawn, I love it.

Well done! The conversation disarmed me and really succeeded in setting up the surprise ending. By making her dismissive and pompous helped me root for this assassin, even though I know he’s malevolent, I still couldn’t help but feel fulfilled by his actions— like true justice was served in a lawless way… Your pen name makes me think… is this he whom I suspect? I once knew someone very well by that name of yours…
