Owen likes the narrator! I see where this is going! haha, good job. I particularly enjoyed this line, " I pictured her words smeared with grease as she tried to slither into his life again." I wonder if the narrator will go for him…? …hmmm…
I like greasy words too :) I do hope to see more of this. Some twisted love triangle maybe or simply the awkward love that blooms betwixt olde friends. :P I can say that Im Englsih
Oy, my lovlies, nary the likes of ye hath quilled any ting udder ’dan the dandiest language mash up I Ido declare I ever did hear. (Australian or British, then Olde English, then an irish accent, then.. pre or post civil war confederate south?)
I hope he doesn’t go back with her. This is great in so many ways, but I think the greasy words line really rocked the whole cazbahr. I like the happy ending too. :) Stephen King isn’t the one to go to for a fairy tale ending.
Very nice. More Than Friends is one of my favorite elements to experiment with in stories. There’s a surprising number of things you can do with it, and it’s always gratifying (maybe even cathartic) to resolve it happily.
I think I read the sequel to this a long time ago, so it was neat to see the background for it. I like that the female lead is not flawless, having not been able to help at that particular time in the past.
