I really like this! It’s not only a great little story on its own, but also is a perfect opening to something bigger and better. You got any visions for future ewbellishment? Maybe a novel, or a novella even?

Actually, as soon as I read this, my love of writing prompts immediately sat upright like an excited dog when he sees his master with the lead in his hand, as this really is a lovely open-ended prompt for further writing…

This popped into my head when I arrived home from work one night (yes, I am a lady of the night! And, tragically, it’s not as exciting as it sounds). It does seem that it might lend itself well to elaboration but I shall see what grows from it if I leave it in a shaded corner of my mind for a time.
