Nice bit of fantasy that still touches on real themes. I liked the gender reversal as well—makes one wonder if the women are stronger in this place or have some other advantage in battle.

That was an aspect of the earlier story I was commenting on. I did enjoy developing that aspect further, though—Mara’s character is the sort of role usually given to a man. I’d like to explore her in more depth someday later. (And it does fit nicely with that superhero story I wrote in my first spurt of activity.)
