The cold compunction of this is expertly and precisely written… It frustrates me, almost – I want to scream at whoever’s speaking, about the beauty in the frailty of the human condition, the art, the science, the wonder!

Works well both in encouraging the reader to question the point of humanity, and the hollow view that the Earth would survive quite adequately without us – MH :)

I like the reality of the first paragraph.
It comes across as a matter of fact whereas in another context it may be cold. Well executed.

The wording of this is very cold…it suits the piece well.
