At first, I thought the title linked in through the ‘death’ of Christmas – it’s commercialisation, the materialism that seems to blind us all to what’s really important – when you take it to a more literal level, it’s superb.
A really great read – the word choices here and little touches of detail were wonderful – favourite line had to be the ‘careful consideration of a mannequin’s decorative broach’…
