2 Choices
I walked out of the bathroom casually, but I noticed that people were staring at me. I sat down and read the menu non-nonchalantly. “What were you doing in there?” Sandra asked. “Washing my hands” I answered.
Suddenly, Sandra and I felt someone staring at us. I turned around slowly and peered into the booth behind us. Two boys were looking at us and snickering. One had bright blondish-red hair (close to the color of orange juice) and cheery green eyes. The other boy was dark as velvet and had hard light brown eyes. They both looked at least 18 years old.
I turned around and began to finish my food. The meal was good, the soup of the best quality, the chicken was warm, but the bubbles of the coke burned my tongue.
Sandra also had enjoyed her meal.
The waitress came to over to give us the bill. I took out my money and studied it sadly. I mused over my options.
I need this money badly. I can’t just spend it on this stupid meal. I thought. Suddenly, I thought about walking out…
