The Seventh Daughter 2
Tina opened the doors to the ballroom, and smiled as everyone bowed. The room was huge and lite by candle chandiliers. During the planning of the ball, Tina had taken hold of her parents minds and made them have her favorite musicians play tonight.
Tina walked throught the crowd, over to where her parents and sisters were greeting guests.
“Thank you for com- Tina! Oh good your here! We were waiting for you to arrive before announcing the big news” her mother said. Rin was smiling in a way that made Tina want to narrow her eyes. Tina didn’t like that smile. What’s going on? Tina wondered. Her father called for silence.
“Tonight we announce the betroth of our daughter Rin,” the king boomed. The crowd cheered, and Rin’s smile widened.
“Rin shall be wed to the prince of Castilia,” her mother said. More cheering, and more smiling. Tina’s blood boiled. Rin wasn’t suppose to marry Gaffin! Tina had planned to marry Gaffin herself!
Tina couldn’t allow this to happen. Her future as queen of Castilia was on the line.
