optimism seems to lead to a laziness in this person. lol. And they have a lot of bad stuff happen to them! It fits the concept behind the prequel couplet poem, but it doesn’t feel too optimistic by the end. I’m going back to the "did you do what you wanted to do?’ question. :P Maybe sleeping is what they wanted to do!

This sounds a lot like you Jesse. Especially the opening and closing lines.

Funniest thing I’ve heard all day.

And there’s a difference between optimism and lethargy. Optimisim is knowing that things are terrible, but also knowing that they get better.

But this is hilarious. Great piece.

This IS very funny. It could be very depressing too, but the perspective of this person makes everything, even the unmistakably terrible things, seem ok. Like his teeth are being pulled out one by one but he’s loaded on morphine.
