This ficlet came alive when you described the person crying in a crowd of cheering people….seems like the prior descriptions were getting at the same thing, but that one stands out. Also, I like short, open-ended dialog. A lot to offer here. Good work!

I love the dark feel of this series. The earlier pieces of a wistfulness that grabs you, and the turn in the middle doesn’t lesson the sense of urgency and wanting. Very well done…these pencils are for the entire arc as it stands. :)
