I was getting a post-apocalyptic vibe from the original story, and you seem to be carrying that on. I like how it’s not explicitly stated, though, so we’ll see where it goes.

Desert only has one S in it, and I think you mean “clamored.”

That being said, I love the feel of this series. I can almost smell the gasoline, the worn rubber, the leather. Is she wearing goggles? I feel like she should be wearing goggles.
