What did the seemingly holy man do to deserve such treatment after death? I know what the obvious answer would be these days, but I’m interested in whether sequels or prequels will take this a different direction.
While I like the line “pint-sized angel of death,” to me, “pint sized” implies pretty small, but “hooded man” seems, well, man sized. I can’t figure out how big the creature is supposed to be.
An intriguing start with a lot of unanswered questions. I’m also interested to see where prequels and sequels take it.
Thanks, Elizabeth, I’ve read Cthulu’s ficlets and I consider that quite a compliment. About the hood & pint-sized stuff….I was thinking a strong “little person” in a hood might be cast when this hits the big screen. :) Wonder what Zach Roloff is up to these days?
Thank you for the compliment as well, sir, but I believe Elizabeth was referring to the entity invented by H.P. Lovecraft that I named my Ficly account after: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cthulhu
I was only vaguely familiar with the H.P. Lovecraft reference. “The Call of Cthulu” is quite a story so I recently reread it. That comment certainly opens up doors for a sequel. Thanks for the comments, EG & CB. You have been very helpful since I started here as a Ficlyteer.
