That third paragraph makes me giggle. It’s so human and full or shit memories.

Very well written and so ‘real’. It overflows with ‘relationship intelligence’ through examining what was off, or flawed, in the protagonist’s past experiences. And now the reader is pushed right up to a turning point— left wondering if he’ll be rejected, accepted— and if so, will he have changed? Very interesting stuff!~ Awesome job.
