The narrative, descriptions, dialogue, and actions are either well balanced, or purposely placed— none of those elements overwhelms and bogs down what is happening. It’s smooth. It all flows very nicely.
I withheld a rating here until I could go back and really give it a thorough read… it’s really painful for me, for some reason, it’s so sad how this boy has a heart of gold and wants to save the one he loves only to fail… but then I also think, “what an idiot!” (and secretly dislike him for it). It’s like when that person in the movie you’re rooting for gets killed because he/she messes up… and when the movies over you think, well he/she got what was coming I guess. Very well done. I FELT it.
