Mad D. Lynn
“Thriller! Thriller niiiiiighhhhhht!!” I sing out as we drive down the highway, top down on the car and the smell of rain in the air.
“You’re entirely insane.” Sam laughed.
“You thought any different?” I asked, leaning forward between Sam and Amber’s seats. “You know my older brother used to call me Mad D. Lynn when we were younger.”
“Isn’t that your name? Madelynn?” Amber questioned, frowning when someone swerved into the lane ahead of her without signaling.
“Noooo.” Maddy corrected. “Mad D. Lynn” She emphasized the syllables separately.
“What was the D for?” Amber wanted to know.
I shrugged. “I don’t know, I think it might have been Dangerous. Are we there yet?”
“Five minutes and counting.” Sam answered.
“Bet someone’s happy.” I stated, glancing suggestively at Amber.
“Sure, sure.” She blushed and changed the subject. “You look a lot different than I imagined you Maddy.”
“Oh really?” I tossed my brown hair dramatically. “How so?”
“Well I for one thought you had shorter hair.” Sam said.
