This is good. The writing isn’t particularly striking, but it fits the story well, so no complaints there.
I don’t have a lot to say about it, and that’s not a bad thing. It’s a very well-done microfiction; we get enough of a sense of the one character that matters, and although it’s definitely a one-track story, it’s not repetitive or too much – it’s just enough.
The idea (and, similarly, the type of writing) is the strongest part of this; it’s at once cute and clever without being overzealous, and it’s well-executed.
Friends would laugh at the things you do whereas people you don’t know will smile politely. I think the humor here is quite balanced and very much relays a similar relationship between the two. Doesn’t seem to lead on to much, it’s more like a moment. A piece for a good chuckle.
