Headsets

Ridiculous as it looked, his glasses were the less elaborate of his two headsets. The other had binocular cameras and high-res displays in both eyes not to mention built in stereo headphones, and a boom mic. He could only see the real world when he ran the displays in AR mode, and even then it made him feel like he was looking at the world through binoculars. It also made him look like the Borg. This headset, though it confined the digital world to a little box, was much more stealthy. The bluetooth earpiece seemed to assure people that he was simply a gadget lover, not an android. Besides, he needed the peripheral vision to ride his bicycle, but he sometimes regretted the lack of IR mode, and depth perception. He thought it would be nice to get an alert if something were rushing at him in the dark of night.
