Commentary: Yay! I finally cleared all of the drafts that have been sitting on my desk for far too long. Anyway, this is a continuation of a story started several months back. There should be two or perhaps three more installments. I know how this ends; I don’t know how long it’ll take to get there without going too quickly.
I like how the time falls in this series. It’s very intimate, the time slots being so close together, and it all fits in almost like a single chapter of a book.
What struck me today about this story is the way in which it’s addressed to the disappeared beloved. It helps underscore how lonely the narrator is, and also how imbalanced he is.
