The flow and cohesion was better in this one. The content, well the first part seems to go back to the Vietnam era “baby killer” accusation hurled at soldiers which doesn’t seem to fit with what seemed like a more sympathetic bent in the last one.
I’m not attacking soldiers… I’m attacking the conscience and primitive nature of the system of war and the global system of solving problems— by essentially which caveman has the bigger stick— it’s so stupid to me. We’ll never achieve our potential as a global community with violence at the forefront of our thinking and at the forefront of how we solve major issues amongst ourselves.
And honestly, surviving soldiers are just as much a victim (it’s a damn shame, they should be treated better) as the people they kill. But the true evil resides in suits and ties— the ones who order good people to fight and die for monetary profit. And most of the people that benefit from war wouldn’t send their own children into the same war… and their attitude on that topic remains consistent— THEIR children are better, more privileged, thus kept safer, and thus destined for a better fate. It’s hypocritical garbage. I want something better than them and the system they work for.
