Notice Me

He saw me through half-lidded eyes, but I thought he couldn’t see me at all . I approached him and introduced myself, but he told me to leave him alone. Day by day I came to sit next to him on the bench next to the library. I told him stories about the world and of my life. But he gave me no acknowledgment.

One day, I didn’t see him there, so I checked the time but it was the same as always. I started to panic, what if something happened? But something tried to pierce through me, did he got sick of me?

I entered the library and returned the book I borrowed. Pity, I wanted to tell him what it was about. The story might be something he could relate to. It was about a man who couldn’t find a reason to live, but someone helped him find reason to be.

I trudged towards the familiar bookshelves while looking at my feet in disappointment. But I hit a wall and I let myself fall. I just didn’t care. But as I looked up, I saw that it was him. He grabbed me before I fell and then pressed his thin soft lips onto mine.
