Ms Angus is a good character name to work with— it almost gives her a personality before anything else is described of her— and, in general, that gets the mind working on all sorts of ways to flesh her out onto the page, I find. The first line ending with ‘curious’— I don’t know what to make of that. Is it a mistake or intentional? If it’s intentional I don’t exactly dislike it— I can appreciate the rule bend. I’d probably put ‘curiosity’ at the end of it and never think twice… but what do I know? haha. I should read up on archaemency in the previous posts to get a firm hold on the story, but nice job turning the tea into an idea, a metaphor for something to come.
Just in case Tad gets back to this or if someone else wonders, ‘curios’ was not a typo. A curio is a type of cabinet with glass doors to allow for both the containment and display of small, collectible items. What I meant to confer was that the watching figurines were locked within multiple glass cabinets.
