haha, I love the different ways of speaking the witch and Herb have, and how they converse with each other. It strikes me as a very comical scene, or at least through my set of eyes it comes across that way.

Funny scene, and it seems to fit in nicely with the narrative, the combo of old and new, this careful traveler bringing the witch a novelty.

The last pair of sentences read awkwardly. Maybe, ‘The witch’s eyes narrowed at the gray hairs.’ Just kibitzing.
