I didn’t want to have to choose those two stories, but the rules said I had to stick with my first non-connected randoms.

I’ll be honest, I tried skipping them and randoming something else, but a guilty conscience made me back up again.

I didn’t mean to be preachy or contradict the very valid messages in both of the stories, but I felt this was the only way to write this story, plus it added in an interesting new viewpoint.

This is really funny. You tied the two stories together perfectly. Both of the stories you had were somewhat obnoxious to read (no offense to the writers) due to their pessimistic vibes. However, you took the negativity of them and flipped them over into something nice to read.
