Funny version of the rapture, with numbered tickets. Some of it got confusing in the first half—sounded almost like you were going for ‘the Rapture’ being a band instead of the actual event. If I understood it right, I liked the humorous take on it, the slight disappointment at getting into Heaven cause all the fun people are going to Hell. Lots of grammar to clean up, but the point and narrative idea are strong.

The person in the story doesn’t go to heaven though – he goes to neither. So sure that he would be cast into Hell, he chose to throw away his ticket and avoided being judged, which ultimately left him stranded.
And yeah that was a joke about the Rapture being misunderstood for a band in the second paragraph. :)

Thanks for clearing that up, Tim. I like the idea of a person too apprehensive about his fate to participate.
